Update for the week of June 11th:
This is it, the final few days are upon us! To say that I am sad to see this year end is an understatement, I have enjoyed this group of 2nd graders immensely:) Watching them grow and learn this year has been a true pleasure.
This week of half days we will be finishing up end of the year reading and math benchmarks. I will finish up DRA testing for those who have continued to move up. I am truly amazed at the strides many of them have made in reading and math this year.
School will end at 11:30 each day this week, with no school for the students on Friday. The after school program will run from 11:30-5:30, Monday - Thursday. Lunches are needed if your child is staying. I would also suggest a change of clothes for play.
In case you did not see the remind I sent on Sunday, please drop me an email or note with your child's Reconciliation date and place. I need this information for permanent record cards. Thank you in advance.
Thank you to everyone who went to the Science Museum on Friday. I was disappointed to have to stay back, but my sciatica had different ideas:( . The kids said they all had a great time.
Each day this week, the kids will be bringing more items home, so that not everything goes home at once. The unfinished workbooks that came home last week are all great for summer review.
Have a great week!
Miss Ode
